These scholarships are for the course \u201cUnderstanding Inequality: Theory, Evidence and Methodology\u201d, offered by the Universidad de los Andes as part of the fifth edition of the Bogot\u00e1 Summer School in Economics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The course will be led by:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Branko Milanovic - City University of New York, United States.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mauricio De Rosa - Universidad de la Rep\u00fablica, Uruguay.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facundo Alvaredo - London School of Economics, United Kingdom.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>For more information, visit the course site <a href=\"https:\/\/educacioncontinua.uniandes.edu.co\/es\/programas\/understanding-inequality-theory-evidence-and-methodology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">here<\/mark><\/a>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scholarship winners will receive a 50% tuition support, the total amount of which is COP 2,733,000.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who can apply?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>People who are enrolled in the last semesters of an undergraduate program in Economics or related areas and who meet the prerequisites of the course.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Persons who are enrolled in a graduate program in Economics or related areas and who meet the prerequisites of the course.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A significant portion of the scholarships will be allocated to students from institutions in Colombian cities other than Bogota and other developing countries.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>Notes:&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The location (within Colombia) of the program is not exclusive.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Selected scholarship recipients must submit proof of payment of the supplemental scholarship amount by June 10, 2024.
