To achieve this goal, in 2023, we funded five internal research projects; we launched the first call for proposals for the TREES Research Grant Fund in Latin America; we held the first four Brown Bag Seminars of TREES and El Colegio de M\u00e9xico; awarded the first predoctoral fellowship, and established the Research Lab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Teaching component<\/strong>, led by Paula Jaramillo, seeks to promote conversations and reflections on how to strengthen the teaching of inequalities through a multidisciplinary approach. Therefore, in 2023, we began to consolidate the TREES Community of Practice and established work plans with strategic allies such as Afadeco, the Ministry of Education, and various organizations that will enable us to take the community of teachers to different parts of Colombia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Outreach component<\/strong>, led by Juan Camilo C\u00e1rdenas, aims to expand knowledge about inequalities beyond academia and foster conversations with other disciplines, civil society leaders, the public and private sectors. Through these dialogues, TREES aims to influence public policies in the country and the region to build more just and equitable societies.
