We compile a diverse and interdisciplinary research agenda to address inequalities from a Global South perspective.
Inequalities in Latin America and the global south are deeply intertwined with structural phenomena specific to the region, such as its institutional, cultural and geographic characteristics. From Research, we delve into topics that help draw a broader image of society and its inequalities. This is the basis to guide what we do in Teaching and Outreach.

What we do

Support to new research
Through funding and open calls to academics in the region, we promote a diverse research agenda to address the multiple dimensions of inequality from different disciplines, methodologies and approaches.

Development of our research
We open predoctoral, doctoral and research positions to work with TREES principal investigators on topics central to the initiative.

TREES Research Lab.
We created an interdisciplinary laboratory in which students interested in researching inequality issues participate. At the Research Lab, we also promote spaces for dialogue between students, academics, civil society leaders and public policy makers.

Events and Products
We organize academic meetings, seminars, workshops and conferences to share the progress and results of our research. Also, we create multimedia products to communicate our findings, put them on the public agenda and enrich conversations about inequalities.
