Education, with appropriate tools, is a direct way to face the challenges of inequalities. This component integrates diverse perspectives to promote teaching practices and resources that strengthen inequalities education.

Community of Practice
This community is a space for collective creation, where educators from any discipline, educational level, or type of institution can listen and be heard, learn from their peers, reflect together, and exchange knowledge, practices, and experiences related to teaching about inequalities.

TREES Challenge: Unveiling Classism

Classism is the elephant in the room in our interactions with others. This form of discrimination is often hidden within social structures and manifests in everyday life. Recognizing and unveiling classism in our environment allows us to question our own attitudes and biases, as well as understand how it affects people in multiple ways.
Focusing on education to transform society
Addressing inequalities from the Global South requires reflecting on how they are taught and how economic reality is perceived. In this regard, the Teaching component of TREES aims to strengthen the questions surrounding inequalities in the field of education.
Mapping Emotions
We present a pedagogical strategy to discuss difficult topics with your students, such as the social repercussions of armed conflict. In this resource, we address sensitive issues through the identification and recognition of emotions. This resource was proposed and used by an active participant in our community.

Here, you will find curricula, best practices, references, and pedagogical resources that will support your practice in teaching about inequalities. This section will be enriched by the community itself through suggestions and contributions from its members.

What we do?

1. Community of Practice

We create a space for knowledge exchange among different stakeholders, generating reflections, resources, and best practices to strengthen teaching about inequalities.

2. Resource Bank

We share tools, curricula, courses, and articles for teaching about inequalities in various learning spaces.

3. Activism in Economics

We create Development Challenges for students from various universities and schools in Colombia and around the world to design solutions to real-world problems.

4. Events and Products

We organize gatherings, workshops, and knowledge-sharing dialogues to develop best practices for teaching about inequalities. Additionally, we create multimedia products to share the resources and findings of the TREES Community of Practice.
